Multiple leagues have this: a team cannot start their starter for more than X number of games (most leagues have it set at 65 to 70)
Thoughts? I think this is a good idea, because it will force GMs to do lines.

I don't like a hard cap, but I do like the idea of increasing the fatigue settings so that GM's have to watch their goalie's status and see when to put in the back-up, or set lines for back-to-backs.

Yes, this is a very good idea. Also, does it seem that the VHL schedule is way less packed then other leagues?

Aw man, I hate fatigue settings being bumped up. Have had bad experiences with it in the past - can lead to a lot of injuries and strange things happening with players. The hard cap is a little better if we're going that route.

I don't think there's been one injury in the VHL all year which is very unrealistic. I like the realism of injuries and fatigue for goalies as it creates more line-up management. And requires teams to actually invest in their depth. There were a few teams at the beginning of the year with 0 players on their farm teams and it just doesn't sit well with me. Manage your teams, people.

I went 5 Saturday's in a row without simming just to try and slow down the season a wee bit.

Fatigue can be increased just for goaltenders and that really shouldnt be a big deal. Forcing teams to play backups about 15 times a year makes sense to me.

I agree with Carolina, no injuries is so unreal. Injuries forces GM in the playoff run to make trades so it gives a lil more value to rentals players imo. I also prefer a sim thats is more realistic than an arcade sim.

I'd prefer a hardcap of at least 65-70 max games per starting goalie with your backup having to start 12-17 which is what you see in the NHL on every team. There are only 3 goalies who may play over 70 games in the NHL this season
