Gotta love the simulator sometimes

Looked at my teams point leaders for the first time this year following my final season game, and who do I find sitting at the top? Jan Hejda...... This is a guy who has never finished an NHL season with more than 21 points. He plays 3rd pairing minutes on a VHL team that also features some pretty good forwards in the likes of Eric Staal, Rick Nash and Marian Hossa. And yet there is Jan Hejda, sitting alone at the top of my scoring summary with... wait for it... 72 points!!! How does that even happen?

My 3 highest scoring defenseman (Wisniewski, Niskanen, Russell) combined for 59 goals and 206 points. My top three forwards (Malkin, Simmonds, Vermette) for 74 goals and only 185 points.

The sim has always been erratic, but the better teams are generally at the top. I don't mind the randomness to it, makes it better when you win otherwise it would be a tad boring.

Defenseman score outrageous points because they have a lot more ice time than forwards usually... the sim doesn't really calculate that they are defense.. and just calculates their ratings. In one league I am in, the league actually scales back the PA and SC rating of each defenseman a bit, in order to make it more realistic.
