Now that we are well into Free Agency and past this post draft nonsense, I'd like to make a suggestion to improve the process.
I think putting a limit on the number of prospects a team can claim during the waiver period would be beneficial. If we cap it at say four (to mimic the number draft rounds we don't have) it would stop the ridiculous sight of GMs trying to claim 8 player at once (looking at you Tanti). Teams that finished lower in the standings would still get the benefit of the waivers, but it would allow teams that made the playoffs to still have a shot at prospects that interst them.

i made the playoffs and added 6 players.....just saying it was well within the rules. players took guys off my list and and still found guys to add. though i think doing a 4 pick/round thing make sense in general

I think that this season was an anomaly, what with the draft being as deep as it was and with so many weak teams having so much space on their prospect list, so I doubt that this would occur again in the future.
That being said, I rather like this rule. I think it is a great compromise between those that favour drafting 7 rounds and those that prefer this streamlined exercise we just tried. I'm all for it.

I like it too.
Makes perfect sense.

Like it as well. Gives lower teams first crack at the top remaining prospects while making sure higher teams still have a fair shot at claiming undrafted guys.

lol why you calling me out nik? i figured most of my guys would get taken from someone else so i decided to just put all the names at once instead of wasting time researching again after my guy gets picked.

I don't think it will matter. This was the first year this was a rule and most teams who took a ton of players were short on prospects on their list. After a year or maybe two teams will be committed to most of the prospects on their list meaning less room to just add them like crazy after the draft is over.

Because you happen to be one of the guys in this league I know by name, and I happened to cross your claim first when looking through processed transactions
