Why were GM's with cap space allowed to be outbid on Free agents by teams who are no longer cap compliant after their free agents spending spree?? We even have one who is almost non compliant for next year at this point as well!!

We allow teams to be over the cap in the off-season such as it is in the NHL.
They will be expected to be cap compliant by the time the season starts. No exceptions.

Well hopefully no one bails them out the way they do in the NHL if not for a great return for eating cap space.

I see it now. We usually allow 10% during offseason. No where near that so no issue yet

Well if we keep allowing teams to be over the cap by overbidding on UFA's 1 of 2 things will happen sooner than later. You have have teams with 10-15 million in buyouts (we are starting that already) and or every team will be maxed out at some point with either there own bad contracts or from accumulating others for prospects. JMO of course

We currently have 60mil of cap space to spread over 30 teams. That is 60mil out of a 2.1 billion $ budget.

I'm 1.25 over. Before the season starts, I will send guys on 2-way deals down to the minors, and be cap compliant. Not sure what the problem is.
Edit: If you're referring to the following year, 2016, when I have a little under 1 million in space, I only have two guys to sign. Plenty of time to move bad deals, send guys to the minors, to resign them. After that I'll have some more breathing room, and then 30 million on the books in 2018.
I would only leave the league on personal accord, not because of the "mess" as you guys say I am in.

Teams are not really that far over the cap. Also most of those who are over according to the finance page really are fine as they just have to send down some minor league players who got put onto their pro team.
