The time has finally come.
We will begin the VHL regular season on October 10th. The schedule has been released. I am doing a little bit of fine tuning on the schedule. There are a few days where there is only 1 game scheduled. I will be moving those games to other days so that there aren't any days in the schedule with only 1 game. There will always be a 2 game minimum.
Scott and I have decided that starting this season, there will be no sims on Sundays.
The NHL season currently runs at 187 days, our current schedule runs at 179 days. We feel in halting simming every Sunday will make it so we don't finish the season too early. It'll also create a shorter off-season when the time comes.
That said, I WILL sim this Sunday, and this Sunday only. With our operations beginning this Saturday, I don't want to suddenly kill the momentum by having a day off this Sunday. So I will sim October 11th, but every Sunday following that will be a no-sim day.
Please please PLEASE send in lines to virtualhockeyleague@gmail.com There are a couple teams over the cap that can easily be fixed by sending some guys down, but there is 1 or 2 teams over the cap that needs a transaction in order to fix. I will message those teams myself. But there are still a lot of rosters who's good players are sitting on the farm. I am doing my best to manually go to each team and ice them their best players, but I am not the GM, and would prefer each team to get their lines in to start the regular season. The links on the left are now functioning with the latest updates, so you see where your team currently stands.
Throughout the week, I will slowly release players without contracts, and expired Cap Hits. I've been cleaning up and tidying rosters as I go along. Some teams have been neglected over the summer.
I will likely update the files again probably Thursday or Friday to get a clearer picture on things before operations begin Saturday. Any questions please ask here or message me.
