Not enough time to look over all of this yet, but overall pretty well done. Thought maybe Barkov was rated too high due to his short season, but checking the numbers he seems to already be docked appropriately for it. What we try and do is take a player who has missed a certain amount of games over the course of a season and we then take their PPG and multiply it into what a full 82 game season would have been. We then take their stats and dock it anywhere from 5-15% based on the amount of time they missed. Let me build upon this for example if a player scored 15 goals in 41 games, we would then multiply this into an 82 game season. Based on the fact he had a .5 PPG he would have ended up with 30 goals. Scoring 30 goals would have ended up having a 90-91 scoring rating (Johnny Gaudreau, Matt Duchene, Kucherov, etc) We then subtract from there and the player would end up with a rating similar to those with another player who was to score say between a 26-29 goals. A player who scored 27 goals for example would end up with an 87 scoring rating (Sean Monahan for example) So when we pro-rate an injured player this is what it will look like. We then do this for every category outside of ST and SK. When we create the ratings we NEVER look at the overalls of player as that creates a bias. What we do is simply look at each category when doing the ratings.

how does andy greene get these crazy ratings... lol The only thing good about Greene is clearly his DF and his ST ratings, other than that he lacks checking, on the slower side of skating, and provides little to no offense. DF is weighted a lot more in the sim, but when you take a look at it he is over 3 points better at defensive defenseman than he is as an offensive defenseman. Compare that with a John Carlson who is 2points better as an offensive defenseman and is still higher than him defensively, yet they still have the same rating because the way SimonT has the simulator set up, offensive stats don't take much into account on paper, but in the sim it reflects in point production. When you look at the corsi stats, both Andy Greene and Adam Larsson led the entire league in Defensive Zone Starts by over 100 and that is just 5 on 5 play. Greene and Larsson also resulted in posting the 6th and 7th best OPPCF60 which is relative to how the other skaters do against them when on the ice and takes into skill level played against from the other coris stats as well. They basically faced 1st lines and 2nd lines anytime when they were on the ice
