VHL Salary Retention Facts.
1 - 16 of the 30 teams in the VHL will be retaining salary into the 2016-2017 season
2 - Total retained - $79,200,000. Which would be over the VHL team salary Cap
3 - 3.88% of the VHL total salary ($2,042,075,000) will be retained
4 - Highest Rated retained player - Detroit Cap Hit rated OV 55 (got lucky)
5 - Lowest Rated retained player - Montreal, Nashville and Philly all with Goalies rated OV 4
6 - Philadelphia Cap Hit Goalie is their BACKUP! - I hope we play them on the starters rest day
7 - Dallas is paying their Cap Hit (51 OV) and Radulov (53 OV) a combined $23,650,000. At least their Cap Hit has a Potential of 87
8 - Detroit is retaining $3,250,000 on one of their own players. Not against rules, traded Paul Stastny away as my 1st move in this league a couple years ago for Draisaitl, then traded Draisaitl and more for Stamkos. Just re-acquired Stastny this offseason for a draft pick and others but still paying of his retention from original deal. (did I just turn myself in
?)
