Hello folks,
Wolf here with another issue that has been agreed to go to a league wide poll.
The situation is, I made a bid on Mikhail Grabovski, thinking he still had a decent enough rating like the ratings suggest.
HOWEVER, he didn't play last season, so he should have been scaled down to a 55 rating just like every other player had previously did. But for whatever reason, Grabovski got missed and wasn't scaled down to a 55 rating like he was suppose to - confusing me that he was still eligible to play next season.
So Scott and other staff agree'd to ask the league if my contract for Grabovski should uphold or should I be able to be let off the hook due to this misunderstanding?
Whatever the league decides I will live with the consequences. But it's only fair this situation is brought to everyones attention! Thanks, and be sure to tune in next week with my next poll about something else I messed up/or want.

I deleted my response once I saw the poll was fixed.

I would actually suggest a 3rd alternative: I'd let the league permit Wolf to buyout the contract immediately if he chooses to do so.

While I believe it is every GMs job to know exactly what they are offering for, I also see that mistakes happen.
Terminate it and forget about it as it was caught early. If this was mid-season I could see the argument against it.

GM Responsibility
Once a GM places a bid, it is considered a binding contract offer until it is bested. AT NO POINT can a GM retract their bid, so ensure that you are ready to pay what you are offering before making a bid. No exceptions will be considered to this rule. I will be checking the security logs hourly, and if I see that a GM has deleted a bid I WILL be made aware of it.
Seems pretty cut and dry to me

People voting no just realize that there is no way this would even be considered if Wolf wasn't staff

Haha, hence why I am putting this to a league vote. It's an unusual circumstance. Nobody in their right mind would bid on a player with a 55 rating knowingly

Grabovski does technically fall under being eligible for an inactivity buyout now that I think about it
