i am thinking this is a steal for edmonton montoya- future 1st string goalie no doubt about it 1st in 08 in a deep draft sykora maybe first line but a history of trouble's never seems to stay anywhere for long?

i confirm ... montoyas numbers won't get up to high 70's for at least 2 or 3 years if he does make it .. (not a sure thing) .. and same goes for the 1st rounder and i need a RW

i think this deal is fine, I think montoya may never make it..........every eyar they talk about htis guy......and every year....AHL

i think this deal is fine, I think montoya may never make it..........every eyar they talk about htis guy......and every year....AHL 1 word, Lundqvist They dont want to rush Montoya, he is their most valuable asset to trade right now. Sitting on the bench all year will not help your developement, so he starts in the AHL. Next season (Tavares Draft, season) he will play in the NHL, most likely a 60/20 split with Lundqvist, to showcase him to the league (Think Minny, with their goalies). After hes proven at the NHL level, they will be able to trade him for help either on offense or defense. Some teams might even take a chance on him now, if they lack a future starter in their pipeline.
