Gogolev also didn’t get drafted, but since he’s over 20 and been passed over 3 times, that ones okay. James Hardie will have to be revoked however.

Out of curiosity can James Hardie actually be drafted here if he wasn't drafted in the NHL? From what I understand from a discussion from 2018 (https://vhockey.proboards.com/thread/20723/revised-prospect-claim-rules-read), if a player goes undrafted in both the NHL and VHL drafts in their first year of eligibility, they are not eligible to be claimed and can only be picked up in the following year VHL draft. So looks like you'll have to wait until next year to nab Hardie.

Wow, looks like I missed a lot this afternoon. Lots to unpack here, but I'll try to go through each item. The guiding principle here is that we are all doing our best to make sure we implement the rules correctly, but we do make mistakes. Since these are not our full time jobs - as much as we wish they were - the mistakes can not be correct in real time. I'll do what I can working backwards to make it right. 1. Nashville PredatorsNashville submitted prospect creations prior to the waiver draft that he believed to be valid. In my role as waiver draft captain, I failed to realize they were invalid and proceeded as if he started the draft at 18 prospects. Had Nashville known that his creations were invalid, it is clear that he would have dropped the players instead. With the creations proceeding as drops, he should be entitled to add Justin Sourdif and Antonio Stranges through the waiver draft. The draft results have been updated accordingly. 2. @stricks When I put together the lists, Chicago drop of 6 prospects had been processed, so I proceeded with the draft assuming that all of his drops were done correctly. It looks like Vladislav Kara was still sitting on his prospect list. Therefore, he should have had room to add Connor McClennon, having dropped Kara prior to the draft. I will update the results accordingly. 3. @brad I chose not to participate in the draft to avoid any conflict of interest after volunteering to run it. To continue with this theme, I will not cancel my addition of Connor McClennon. 4. Bryan HullIn terms of the James Hardie ruling, I understand that players who pass through the draft and remain eligible for the following NHL draft cannot be claimed in the normal course of the season. However, I was under the impression that the Waiver Draft, as an extension of the Entry Draft, is an exception to that. Based on the following wording: "This is essentially a way for us to extend the draft by however many rounds are needed to ensure that all desired prospects are selected, only done instantaneously via list rather then waiting X number of hours for each other to pick." I will leave Hardie with the Islanders in the results accordingly. 5. Buffalo SabresI will correct Will to Cranley.

I feel that is not your responsibility though. Nashville should know who and who is not eligible to be created from his own prospects list prior to creations. At the time of the waiver draft, Nashville was still over the prospect limit, thus making him ineligible for his claims.

Right but in a perfectly functioning system, there would have been time for him to change them to drops.
Maybe the solution for next year is a 48-hour roster freeze before the waiver draft to process everything and make corrections.
Not getting Stranges isn’t huge but if we don’t give Nashville Sourdif the whole thing is fucked, he was on like 7 lists and high on most of them.

We'll be correcting the waiver draft results based on the rules we put forth ahead of time. With Nashville's failed claims of Sourdif and Stranges, the following corrections will be instated. Bryan Hull get Justin Sourdif in Round 1 instead of Carter Savoie Islanders get Carter Savoie in Round 2 instead of Tyler Tullio @stricks get Tyler Tullio in Round 2 instead of Connor McClennon @brad gets Connor McClennon via post-waiver draft addition Calgary Flames claims Antonio Stranges via post-post-waiver draft prospect addition Oskar Back and Wyatt Wyllie will remain on Nashville PredatorsIslanders claim on Wyllie is now invalid In future waiver drafts, we will be making an official 48 hour transaction freeze on player/prospect claims in order to iron out and fix any errors that occur during the waiver draft. Consider this an end to #WaiverGate
