What a wild ride during the top 5. Draft boards across the league being torn up very quickly into draft day.

My sources had Ottawa taking Edvinsson at 3, but when It was Clarke coming off the board, it affected a trade Philly had tentatively agreed upon to move back.

Also hearing Chicago and Florida both wants to package picks to move up in the draft.

MASSIVE RUMOUR breaking out of New York has the Rangers shopping Seth Jones, expect a young forward, too prospect and a #1 to be included in the ask for Jones.

Reports out of Pittsburgh suggest that there has been a ton of action in the secondary market for the dominant winger. Teams have come out of the woodwork offering all kinds of creative package. The Penguins are still holding out, waiting for something resembling more of a 1 for 1 trade for an elite prospect. But with the draft rolling on at a decent piece, their hand may be forced.

YUGE RUMOUR from Calgary, sources close to the offices of GM Will O'Weary are indicating Boeser is close to being moved to a team in the Central division. This rumour has been juicy fruit approved by Lundek (E4)

Fans grow restless in Colorado. Will we see more from Zoran ? A measly acquisition of Marco Scandella barely scratches the surface of the things that need to be done to keep that team competitive in the west. Huge boom or bust off-season for the Avs. They are in desperate need for help at forward. 

The Chris Groenink have unloaded 14 million in cap space, but as a result some holes are beginning to appear on the roster. Sources tell Lundek that New Jersey is in the market for a #1 goaltender if they want any chance of three-peat. But do the Devils have enough future resources to facilitate a type of deal? Expect more aggressiveness from Chris the NJ GM. 

Hearing Where Did Max Go? and the Blackhawks are discussing a trade involving Domi and Yandle. Interesting as Detroit has been trying to revamp it's blueline after acquiring Adam Pelech. But is giving up Max Domi worth the risk of 35 year old Yandle? (E3)

Teams are sleeping on Mattias Ekholm availability in Seattle. The new Kraken GM has informed Ekholm to not buy property in the Washington state as he's hoping to ship Ekholm out for future assets. After losing Doughty to UFA and pissed off Theodore isn't the best rated defenseman in the sim, the Buffalo Sabres I hear are close on acquiring the services of Ekholm. This rumour is mildly approved and only half a juicy fruit (E2)

Minnesota did a fantastic job trading a whole lot of nothing and receiving a lot of nothing. Fans are wondering if the Wild GM have plans to ressurect a depleting forward core if the Wild wish to return to the post-season next year. Acquiring Brian Gibbons is not how one does that. As a result the Minnesota Wild receive this weeks award of sugar-free Juicy Fruit, as these moves pack no punch at all.

In attempts to start a side feud with manager Gibb and distract us all from what was likely a terrifying weekend locked in Tony Chiu's basement Insider Lundek has clearly been sleeping on Minnesota's improved cap situation from expansion.

The Wild are now closing in on being able to afford a full professional roster in 2021-2022!
