So I needed a day to process.
First off Congratulations to Mark and the Vegas Golden Knights on the Cup series victory.
But to be honest, I am completely deflated. Best word I can find. Heartbroken, disappointed, gut wrenched, but deflated is the word that sums it up the most. This is the 2nd time I have lost a game 7 in the Cup finals (2018 Vancouver after being up 3-1 in series).
I’m not sure where to go from here. This team is not built to continue to compete year after year. Top heavy and no organizational depth. This was supposed to be my year. Presidents trophy, great team chemistry, and rating will take a massive hit upcoming.
Vs Vancouver I think I tweaked my lines too much and it bit me, this year I let it ride with what worked all year and it failed me in the end.
I’m totally frustrated but still dedicated to this league, it have a sour taste in my mouth. I may be on absolute tilt if team want to inquire about a potential deal, hit me up.
But this whole process was brutal.

This was probably the closest stanley cup final we've ever had in VHL history. All games decided by 1 goal, 3 games went to OT, both teams lead the series at different intervals. Couldn't ask for a more entertaining final. That said, my heart absolutely breaks for Columbus Blue Jackets . The sim has made a trend of burning his team time and time again. Winning the presidents trophy this year and going up 3-2 in the final, I felt you were a lock to finally achieve the holy grail. For someone who's been as devoted and determined to get his team to win, no one deserves to win more than Trent at this rate, and I've never seen a team come this close to winning without pulling it off. It's gonna hurt, and it's gonna hurt for awhile. I remember in 2019, I was up 3-2 in the final against Winnipeg, just to lose in 7 by 1 goal. It stings and it definitely takes some time to dust yourself off and refocus. You never know when you're going to be back in the final and that's the hardest thing to come to terms with, if maybe perhaps you may not get an opportunity again for a long time. That said, a congratulations to Vegas Golden Knights is in order. Looks like Vasilevskiy carried the team on his back in the final game to secure the victory, and you pulled it off even without one of your better forwards in Tarasenko who was injured for the series. Winning the cup over 31 other GMs is an incredible feat and one that doesn't come by very often. Enjoy it! You're forever etched in time as a VHL stanley cup champion. Congratulations!
