Surely there's a red flag on that Palat signing no? Columbus had to have known Minnesota's bid was invalid, but waited until the 24hrs time elapsed to announce it and then recognized himself was the winner immediately. Shouldn't this have been flagged earlier to give others a chance? Seems incredibly suspicious. At the very least, if the bid is invalidated, a few hours should be tacked onto that to allow others to bid IMO.

While I see what you are saying, I initially moved on to bid on others like Engvall and Tremin, not thinking much about it and moving on. Was not intentional. Only when I went back to my excel sheet I keep did I notice. And it was not immediately. It was 4 hours later |

I think resetting the 24 hour clock on Palat from once the invalid bid was announced is the easy fix here.

For my point of view, by not nullifying Minnesota's bid and only doing it after the 24hrs had closed, this action, or inaction essentially gave Columbus a free extra bid as you went onto bid on two other players while being the unknown winning bid on Palat the whole time. It also locked up Minnesota's second bid for that whole period instead of him being able to go and use that bid elsewhere. |

Some additional food for thought… if CLB was leading on Palat for the last 24hrs and still went around bidding on 2 more players then they entered several invalid bids and the problem extends way beyond Palat.
I’m fine playing the GM responsibility card but it won’t stop with just me and Palat.

But whose fault is it that Minnesota did not have a second available bid, Minnesotas. By not bidding within rules. Look I’m not trying to be a dick about a 4th line player, we all have lives here and the staff monitors most everything very closely, Not everything gets caught. All I know is I deleted Palat from my excel, went back to see how much I lost him for and found the mistake. |
