Mandatory Discord Roll Call

Greetings VHL,
Some of you may have noticed the old discord server that was being used to house VHL communication has ceased to exist. Some of you may have not noticed because nobody ever checked it. That is because moving forward, we have implemented a stand-alone and 'new' server for the VHL.
Participation in this discord will be mandatory.
The VHL has slowly fallen beside the wayside in terms of activity and league engagement, and by that I mean when this league was made, it was back in 2006 before the world of Facebook and Discord took over. The engagement on the forums has slowly dwindled over the years and a big contributing factor is because there are easier outlets to engage in conversation with other GMs and friends across the league.
With more and more users on Discord these days, we decided in order to revive the camaraderie and league engagement, we will be making Discord a requirement moving forward to be a general manager in this league.
This move is to inject activity and involvment from all members. The Discord will become the new hub for league announcements, sim announcements, and potentially the VHL's first live entry draft this summer.
This post will also act as a roll call. By joining the VHL Discord it confirms to Scott and myself your commitment to stay in the VHL with the new requirement in place.
Failure or refusal to join the Discord by March 1st, 2024 unfortunately will be subject to removal from the Virtual Hockey League.

This is the beginning of many changes we will be putting forward, and understand that these decisions are to create a healthier and more active league as we want to make the VHL successful for many more years.
