This years class includes Dominik Hasek, Peter Forsberg, Mike Modano, Rob Blake, Bill McCreary and Pat Burns
And all I have to say about this is that it is about fucking time Burns got in.The NHL and HOF committee (or whoever votes for this stuff) really blew it on this one. They had a chance to induct him while he was still alive, passed it up and then spent the next few years not inducting him just to make it look like it wasn't massive blunder on their part.

I agree with the burns statement. Lindros should be in before Forsberg IMO.

I agree with the burns statement. Lindros should be in before Forsberg IMO. why? forsberg had a better career and actually won something in the nhl and internationally.

IMO he isnt a first ballot for the same reasons as lindros re.short carreer. And lindros has been wating longer, they actually had very simalar careers and Lindros was the best player on the planet in the short time he was healthy. Could have changed the game if not for a scrambled brain, not too many guys could put up over 100 pts and almost 200 pimS!!

They played the same time, are basically the same player and Forsberg did more in his career to warrant being there first.

How do you figure he had a longer career? Lindros played more NHL games and Stanley cups are won by Teams not players. If Sundin can get in than anyone can based on that logic. Forsberg retired because he had a broken toe nail, Lindros played through migraines and multiple concussions. Im not Lindros lover, just tired of hearing the reasons why he isnt getting in based on the way the start of his career went, and to be honest until my kids got involved in competitive sports I somewhat agreed with it, however after living "Rep" hockey for the past several years let it be known that ALL of those decisions had zero to do with Eric Lindros and everything to do with his PARENTS, from the Sault to the Quebec debacle, ALL of it. So to hate the player because the parents were retarded isnt very fair.

The way I see it if Crosby were to take 1 more hit and be done he would be a hall of famer, not just because of his stats but because he was and has been the face of the league for so long, the hype leading up to his draft was incredible.
Eric Lindros had as much if not more hype coming into the league, he, as Crosby were destined to change the game and set the new standard for greatness. Forsberg was great at racking up points, but he certainly didnt play the game the way Lindros did.

I think refusing to pull on the Nordiques sweater when he was drafted, and demanding a trade, truly affected the outcome of his Hall of Fame selection. Forsberg was getting in no matter what, regardless of Lindros's status. But there's no way Rob Blake gets in over Lindros if Lindros would have played for the team that drafted him.
