Hi there,
I am interested in taking over a team is possible.
I am new to the Salary Cap side of things though, so you'll need to be patient with me.

Dallas, Florida, New Jersey and Calgary are open as far as I know. Will have to talk to staff to be sure but take a look at those ones.

Calgary, Dallas, Florida, and New Jersey are available.
About half the league will know you from the PHL, so welcome!

They all have their pros and cons, including who was selected 1st round. Tough choice.

Is there an easy way to see the cap situation for these teams? There are lots of $0.00 salaries so I'm confused on how to add it all up.

They $0.00 haven't been resigned for next year yet, and therefore need to be resigned. You can always estimate what they will sign for by looking at their NHL deals, but when negotiating with the agents, please use VHL contracts as comparables.

go to financial page most resignings are just entered.
we did one year deals just past few days on those teams to not allow key players to leave the teams. if you look at the resigning pages you'll see them. if you wish to renegotiate any of those deals with the agents you are welcome to do so.
btw this is scott. ottawa in phl and commissioner here, but you'll know a number of guys here joel. many are very longterm members in the vhl and many are also in phl.
post any other questions here or pm a staff member

click finances, it will show you the added total of all your signed players. The 0$ ones are people without a contract at the moment, so you will need to sign them however some contracts are not enterred, please check the link below as you will have to add in the signed contracts there. vhockey.proboards.com/thread/15711/gmless-teams-free-agentsIf you don't like one of these signings, staff may allow you to remove it since they were made for teams with no gms. Not sure though so ask them about it.

So, how realistic, with a team like the Flames, to be able to actually use all that cap space and sign players? I am assuming Free Agency is over (for the most part) for this year, so maybe next season I can spend a whack of that cap space?
