Re-rates:
Although we make every attempt to find a fair ratings package, there are certain occasions when you feel as though the ratings of some of the players on your team do not reflect their abilities.
For the upcoming season we are allowing each GM to present 2 players for re-rates, all of whom can have up to 4 individual ratings re-rated. Re-rates will be done on individual ratings (SC, PA, DF…etc) and not overall (OV) rating as the OV rating means nothing in the simulator.
It is each GM’s responsibility to argue a convincing case, providing statistical proof by comparing your player to another/others in the sim if you want your player to be re-rated. I will not do the homework for you.
The following is a general idea of what we are looking for:
Player: Wayne Gretzky
Rating: SC
Current Rating: 82
Statistical proof: 44 goals in 73 games, .6 GPG average
Comparisons:
Mario Lemieux, 40 goals in 76 games, .53 GPG average, SC rating of 85
Pavel Bure, 44 goals in 82 games, .54 GPG average, SC rating of 86
In this scenario the GM has provided compelling statistical evidence that Gretzky should have a higher SC rating than Lemieux and Bure. The arbitrator could then base his decision on the new rating accordingly.
You may also feel free to recommend a new rating, though there is no guarantee that it will happen that way.
All re-rates are to be sent to the arbitrator, which is myself this year. Scott has elected me to carry through this task. Send all re-rate requests via PM to Wolf (Carolina) and I will enter them into the sim once my decision has been made.
Note: In no circumstance will a players rating be decreased.
