LESTER PATRICK AWARD
A coaching award, awarded each year to the GM with the most consistent line sending.
THIS YEARS WINNER IS RANDY ZAMARIA of the NEW YORK RANGERS!

KING CLANCY AWARD
This award is given annually to GM's who have shown dedication to the league above the norm.
WHILE OBVIOUSLY MY INCREDIBLE STAFF ALL DID AN AWESOME JOB THIS YEAR OF CARRYING THE LEAGUE WHILE MY TIME WAS SPORATIC GIVEN MY NEW JOB, I AM AWARDING THIS AWARD THIS YEAR TO:
ERIC WOLF OF THE CAROLINA HURRICANES!
Without Eric simming and entering trades and transactions so regularly we may still be in the playoffs. While I have adapted to my new job and time restraints now, its undeniable that he kept the games going for the VHL.
The entire staff took on way more this year so I wish to commend them all for their work. As well our group of GM's at this moment are the most knowledgeable and dedicated we have ever had. You all have been great at bringing new ideas to the league and the activity levels are superior to any league out there!
I have also created an additional award new this year!
THE RON HOLMES TROPHY
This award will be given annually to the GM who has done the best job of asset management, including player development
THIS YEARS WINNER IS MONTY CHANNA OF THE VANCOUVER CANUCKS!
Its undeniable that his asset management has been incredible to watch considering where this team was two years ago to being the VHL STANLEY CUP CHAMPION THIS YEAR!
Monty is NOT winning this award because he won, but solely on how he developed his team and managed his assets to completely change his franchise.
I really really look forward to this award moving forward as there are some teams that are already making huge strides for the next few years!
Congratulations to all and I can't wait for the 2014-15 to get underway. It won't be long!
