Backes is about to breakout huge this year and Craig is a solid 3rd liner behind Lecavalier and Richards. McLaren who I love in real life is a 3rd dman pairing and I wanted better depth at offense for my club beyond the top 2 lines.

How so? I got loads of cap room, and its not like Mclaren will be making big bucks. He probably wont even be on my team by the end of the year. Craig's dropped down to TB's 4th line, and Backes is stuck behind Strempniak and Boyes.

Anyways I'm happy with the deal, Craig and Backes only played on my 4th line, and I need Mclaren more than them. It helps both sides.
