umm.. if this is gonna make any sense.. i feel that if you make a claim for him right now you should have to pay $2,000,000/ yr for the remainder of his contract... and if nobody wants him for $2,000,000 then he goes to a bidding war where you can offer $900,000.

these guys must be BOUGHT OUT to be dropped.
then they are free agents, OR, be passed through waivers.

waivers is the first way, and then if they clear to drop LA must buy them out.
