Biron is a proven starting goalie in the NHL and has some of the best stats in the league this season. While Bergeron is out for the season with a concussion, has never been at a ppg, and is Boston's #2 center behind Savard.
Not to mention the fact that Boston's goalies are Thibault and Toivonen, who both blow. If you look at their stats this season, thats the one thing holding them back. They score enough goals to be a playoff team, but they allow way too much. With the acquistion of Biron AND Sakic (to replace Bergeron) they very well could be in the playoffs by the end of the year.

douche, you delete my thread AND my argument.
Sakics old, and wont outlast Bergeron. Biron is too inconsistant to go long stretches.

basic summary of what I said before

And Biron has gone through 1/3 of the season already, and has been brilliant the whole time. I'd say 1/3 of the season is quite a long stretch.

Biron is awesome, i have been a sabres fan, no bias because Miller beat him out too.. i notice he isn't the greatest, but hes a solid vet thats a sure thing. Bergeron on the other hand is a lil shaky, hes a fast guy that COULD turn a team around, but just hasn't done so.

Pass
Biron is a very good goalie, Bergeron might never be the same again.

I think its passable...Tj wins the trade but not by a huge margin because of Bergerons uncertain status and Birons solidified number one status !!

i believe for now and maybe forever boston wins this trade hands down. biron is going to take the flyers along way and bergeron might never be the same, quite a gamble for calgary
