League Announcement - Player ratings 55 rule

Ok guys,
We have come across a few circumstances brought to light this week regarding players we have missed reducing to a 55 rating based on not playing last nhl season.
Throughout the season a couple other players came to our attention like Kronwall, Girardi who were reduced down to 55.
Most recently we exposed another player we missed in Eric Fehr who had been missed earlier and given the fact that we are 58 games or so into this season and the fact we aren't discussing players that really have much influence in the sim, I backed the decision made to leave Fehr rated as he was for 71% of our season. Since that time we have learned of a couple other rated players who did not play in the NHL last year.
Given this discovery we have reversed our decision on Fehr and will reverse that trade. My apologies to St.Louis and Winnipeg.
Fortunately for the league none of the players we have missed were really much of an influence on the vhl season, but effective today we are rolling back the ratings of Brooks Orpik(only played in 7 VHL games) and Nolan Patrick as well of Nashville.
One final thing, if anyone has discovered other players we have missed, please feel free to come forward with it. I am certain that Wolf and I have presented ourselves extremely approachable over the history of the VHL and for the times I get worked up the staff is there to talk me down. That's why virtually 95% of the decisions are ran past the staff first unless something needs acted on with more haste.
The VHL isn't perfect but we are pretty close. This also is however a FuN league, ran in our free time, and free of charge( other than the extremely generous help we had this past fall for ratings and again thank you!). We will have mistakes like these player ratings and so we have decisions to make at times which may not be popular with all. But we don't want to feel people can't come to us. I'm flattered that this league means as much as it does to so many here. I'm flattered that there is daily discussion of the league taking place in private not on the public board. What I dont appreciate is the need to bash people nor staff providing you free entertainment to the best of our abilities while not stepping up yourselves to solve the solution or offer up players that may need corrected.
Please if any other players are discovered that should be 55 rated, come to us to fix rather than just waiting for situation to unfold that intentionally or unintentionally causes upset, confusion, or disgrace to the league or anyone involved. This is not a league of corruption and drama and never will be. Upfront and honest will get you everywhere.
