Well the season is finally over and my team although finishing on a tear, fell just short of the playoffs. After dealing Demitra we figured that we would be well out of contention to make the playoffs, but guys such as Datsyuk, Conroy and Cammaleri stepped up and finished the season on a high note.
We were also able to cut salary while maintaining a competitve team. With youngsters such as Cammaleri, Datsyuk, Brown and Kopitar, we should be in good position for a long time. Our defence is very solid with a top 4 consisting of Vishnovsky, Pothier, Boyle and Regher stepping up this season with Miller and Schubert/Rivers also contributing. Even Tim Thomas played very well down the stretch.
Our goaltending situation will be priority #1 in the off season, and we have plenty of forwards to deal. All in all we were very satisfyed with how our season went and will expect nothing less than the playoffs next year.
