Boston Bruins – State of the Team

Good Afternoon VHL GM's, VHL Fans, and especially those fans of the Boston Bruins. It was a hard year. A few mistakes were made that caused us to lose some key players, caused us some losing streaks, caused some overall poor feelings around this building.



We've heard you... I've heard all of you. Out of the fire, a champion will rise. Miro Heiskanen has been named your Captain. He has shown that he is a leader on the ice and off. His vision, poise, and play making ability has impressed us all so much that we have signed him to a maximum length contract to keep him in the Black and Gold for the foreseeable future. Along with Miro, William Nylander, Victor Olofsson, and Casey Mittlestadt have all been retained and we look forward to their continued growth within this organization. Newly acquired Max Domi had been a positive fit so for in his short stay, increasing his game play as he seems right at home on a line between Will and Kevin.



Our Farm system has developed some amazing talent over the past few season as we see Alexis, Dylan, Ty, and Jamie all making great contributions to the pro club. Moritz Seider looks to be the next up to graduate with plenty of players right behind him. We look forward to seeing what you're capable of kid!



I know, I know... you've all been waiting for the comments on goaltending. Martin has taken Jake and Ville under his wing and shown them how to be professionals. Mr. Oettinger and Mr. Husso will be a... the pillars of this team. From what we have seen, these two gentlemen can, no... dare I say WILL backstop us to the championship in the near future.



To the Bruins leaving us... Mr. Smith, Mr. Beaulieu, Mr. Hutchinson , thank you for your time here. It was a pleasure having you on the team gentlemen.



As we prepare for the draft, for free agency, for the upcoming season... Just Remember...
