The Edcmonton Oilers have acquired John Leclair for Bates Battaglia and a 2nd rounder in 2009. Oiler GM Louis-Philip Lafrance had this to say "He brings a lot of leadership to the table and can help our team for our eventual cup run." We caught up with Leclair once news of this trade spread. "I'm really exited to play with a great team like the Oilers, they got great offence up front, great D and one of the best if not teh best goaltenders in teh world in Martin Brodeur. I know my ice time will be reduced but I feel great for having a chance at winning a final cup with this team."
