Guys I have to tell you about this dream I had, it's hilarious!
So get this.....
In my dream I decided it was time to rebuild. Funny right!!!
So get this, I dreamed that I dealt away my top defenseman Roman Josi and Jordan Staal, (who I worked so hard to acquire all the Staal boys) for Futures......
like it was a huge package but still.....
Dante Fabbro, Cam York, Cole Perfetti, Jesperi Kotkaniemi, Mackie Samoskovich and Oskar Steen. Oh and I acquired a 2nd round pick as well in the deal, so that's how I knew it wasn't real.
THEN, the nonsense continued. Jakub Voracek who is on an absolute sweetheart deal that I added late last season was traded to Dallas along with Ryan Getzlaf and a prospect for another futures package. Jordan Eberle was one piece, but Ilya Samsonov, Yegor Chinakov, Kirby Dach and ANOTHER pick, this time a 3rd I had acquired in this dream.
You would think this dream would end soon but I must have been in deep REM sleep. All of a sudden Brock Nelson leaves my team along with another Staal, this time Marc....for prospect Ridley Grieg and a 1st and TWO 2nds......like super crazy!
Here is where shit REALLY gets weird. Even had this not been a dream, you really think the Sabres would have acquired all these picks to use them for anything but trading for players and cap space?? Anyways, in this dream I used draft picks, like during the draft used them.....TO MAKE ACTUAL PICKS!
First I selected Jiri Kulich late in the 1st round and then traded again to move up in the second round to draft boom or bust prospect Gleb Trikozov.
So how about that for a crazy dream. 17 straight seasons in the playoffs and it all just goes away like that.....pfft...as if!
Anyways, thought you would all want to hear about that one! Couldn't believe it if I even tried!
