[img src=" "] New Yotes GM Jeff Huculak has announced two deals today. the first the aquasition of young defencemen Tom Gilbert and forward Colin McDonald from the Oilers in exchange for Hedberg and Matt Corrente. Huculak said he believes Gilbert has a strong chance to make the squad but that will be decided upon further evaluation while McDonald will also have every chance to make the team but like Gilbert it will also be decided upon further evaluation. The second deal involved Ian White heading to the Big Apple while the dogs get back d- man Thomas Pock and goaltending prospect Joe Palmer. When asked if any other moves were iminent , Huculak responded by saying that he had contacted gm's and been contacted about numerous players around the league and that if or when something happens that the media will find out then. He also stated he was extremely extatic about the opportunity to be involved with the league and the organization and he looked forward to the challenges that lie ahead.
