Good Morning fellow GM's and all the fans of the VHL especially those of the Boston Bruins. This summer has been nothing short of a whirlwind of change for the Bruins as we here, hope that change is in the right direction. After evaluating our position over the past few months, we felt that now is the time to charge forward and push not only for the playoffs, but for championships. We felt a huge need for this club was in the forward ranks and specifically at center. A trade to bring in Tyler Seguin was the first step. A great playmaker in his own right, we all have hopes that he will continue to produce and also make his linemates that much better.
The second addition was Mr. Paul Statsny. Adding his skill set to the second line will improve on the much needed scoring punch we have sourly lacked from the number 2 group, I have not doubt. He will be looked upon to push his play along with those on his line. Hopefully making the top lines flourish here in Boston.
Last, but very much not least... we need to address scoring. to do that, we went out and got who we felt was the best scorer who will fit very well with this team and that was Mr. Jeff Skinner. The ability to create scoring chances is what we have been missing for much of my tenure here and I hope Jeff, along with our returning core and new additions... all that will change.
Now some may ask... but what about the goal differential??? You sucked at keeping the puck out of your own net!!! Where's that help??? Well, patience has payed off. With the growth of our defense core and the amazing abilities of our 2 starting capable goalies, we have already improved by leaps and bounds. Getting Moritz Seider and Mattias Samuelsson from our development team and Jake Oettinger with is breakout season in goal, things are looking greatly improved for our defense.
The 2022-2023 Boston Bruins *Projected*
Kevin Fiala - Tyler Seguin - William Nylander
Ivan Barbashev - Paul Statsny - Jeff Skinner
Alexis Lafreniere - Dylan Cozins - Victor Olofsson
Max Domi - Casey Middlestadt - Alexandre Texier
Moritz Seider - Miro Heiskanen
Ivan Provorov - Filip Hronek
Mattias Samuelsson - Jamie Drysdale
Jake Oettinger
Ville Husso
This Year is going to be exciting... GO BRUINS!!!
