PENALTIES (2023) - Penalties will be removed from this thread once the 'debt' has been paid. ColoradoFailure to Upload Required 5 Minimum Lines Goalie Suspended due to playing over max minutes of 4200 *Since Colorado has committed two infractions this year, the following penalty will be taking place. Colorado's 1st Round Selection in 2023 will be moved to the end of Round 1 (32nd overall). However, if Colorado wins any one of the two lotteries in the 2023 VHL Draft, the 1st Round pick penalization will be deferred to 2024 where his 1st Round Selection will automatically be 32nd overall. ColumbusFailure to Upload Required 5 Minimum Lines *Columbus will be penalized their nearest 2nd Round selection (CBJ 2 2025), which is in 2025. If at any point between now and 2025 that Columbus acquires a 2nd Round pick, the penalty will apply to that instead. DetroitGoalie Suspended due to playing over max minutes of 4200 *Detroit will be penalized their nearest 2nd Round selection (DET 2 2026), which is in 2026. If at any point between now and 2026 that Detroit acquires a 2nd Round pick, the penalty will apply to that instead. New JerseyGoalie Suspended due to playing over max minutes of 4200 *New Jersey will be penalized their 2023 2nd Round selection (NJ 2 2023) Lines and Team Management Responsibility
4.3 It is a requirement that all GMs must send a minimum of 5 (five) line-up submissions throughout the course of the season (regular-season only). This is a vital part of a GMs responsibility. Failure to do so will result in a penalty of the team who committed the infraction, which will be a 2nd round draft pick selection. If the team does not own a 2nd round draft pick in the concurrent year, the penalty will defer to their nearest 2nd round draft pick selection. If the team does not own a 2nd round selection in any applicable years, another course of action will be determined by the discretion of the commissioner(s), which could include removal from the Virtual Hockey League.Goalies Maximum Minutes
5.10 No goaltender will be able to play more than 4200 minutes during the regular season. This rule is in effect for any goaltender including those who have been traded, or whatsoever. Any goaltender playing more than 4200 minutes will be suspended for the remainder of the season. If the league has to manually suspend your goaltender due to the GMs negligence of roster management, that goaltender will also be suspended for the first two games of the playoffs. Additionally, the team will also be penalized their nearest 2nd round selection in the nearest VHL Entry Draft(s), in which they own. Colorado's penalty will be rescinded due to there now being a vacancy in the Colorado GM role. They will retain the 10th overall selection.
