Confirm. Giving up both Eklund and Batherson is tough, Batherson was a free add after the 2017 draft so I always had a connection with him. As for Eklund, he's a top prospect on my favourite NHL team but if I want to push my team over the top I need to improve, losing him sucks but hopefully this helps me take the next step...I'm sure I'll regret trading him down the road, but I know Trent will take good care of my golden child! Thrilled to add Stamkos at such a low cap hit, and rumour has it he may be wearing the 'C' for the Panthers this upcoming season! Huge thanks to both Trent and Sully for the talks, was a pleasure as always! More to come!

I confirm. Its a-lot of salary to take on but I feel the compensation of a 1st is a decent return as I will have lots of cap space before I feel I will be ready to start turning the corner in 2025.

At least we don't need to see any more Batherson for trade posts

CBJ agree.
Hurts to move Stammer, but my team was not going to be near as strong next season as it was this, and it was time to get a little younger and get some high end depth. Banking on Eklund to excel.
