The Carolina Hurricanes have hired James "Jimmy" Houghton as the teams new General Manager.
Houghton brings a wealth of sim hockey league experience to the Hurricanes organization. Jimmy is fresh of winning the 2023 PHL championship with the Sharks and has always sought to ice the most competitive roster one can year after year. He also served as a GM in the VHL over a decade ago in the early days.
The organization has fallen on tough times since the glory days when they won it all back in 2016. Although one, Eric Wolf brought the team it's only championship, he also abandoned the team as soon as the going got tough as he jumped ship and took over the Flyers GM roll. GM Houghton will be looking to right the wrongs over the last number of years. It wont be easy and there in a ton a work ahead, but it looks like the new GM is up for his most challenging storm yet, as he looks to bring these Hurricanes back to wreak havoc on the mainland again.
