We take game one in Toronto 4-2. Both teams powerplays lacked any power, or you could say both PK's were very solid.
Peter Schaefer of all people netted TWO goals for us and Yanic Perreault the savy vet added two assists. Miller made 29 saves in the win for the 2nd star of the game.
Selanne and Ovechkin got the other goals
i pulled kessel and salvador from the lineup for game one and put metropolit and wesley in with their playoff leadership and it seemed to work. i'll keep kessel ready to insert when i need that spark.
the 4th line of Perreault, Schaefer and Murray were each +2 so that always helps.

i love my defence corp this time of year btw, Lidstrom 22 minutes, Pronger 24 minutes, Boyle 22 minutes, Foote 22 minutes, Wideman with 18 minutes and Wesley with a solid 12.
Pronger with a whoping 6 hits as well.
the rest of the east matchups were good games as well.

Big 3-1 win at home, got two goals from clutch playoff pickups Drury and Guerin. Both the power play and penalty kill did their jobs and Luongo stood his ground. Great game on all fronts.

Great 4 games so far in the East. My 3 top goaltenders I picked all won thier games for thier clubs. Nabakov for the Rangers is thier #1 stud and he proved his worth again in game 1. Luongo and Vokoun also get it done for thier clubs. Well done boys make sure you ice your best roster, I love the East matchups this year and cant wait to see the West as well.
