The only think i noticed is that scoring ratings are not that high compared to previous years. If you read the full post you’ll notice this was intentional. We had far too many players with high scoring in previous years. |

Yup we mentioned that in the podcast we did with Tom on Sunday but I failed to mention it in the post above thanks for reminding me. Previous years I set the goal thresholds a bit too low. Last year if you were a 30 goal scorer or were on pace for 30 goals per game + you had a 90 SCoring rating or higher. This year a 40 goals per game lands you at a 90 for scoring and 30 goals lands you at an 80. When the top goal scorer is scoring 50 goals it did not make sense to have someone scoring 30 at a 90 and someone at 50 a 99 |

Dont look at them, they make zero sense. You have 65 pt defenceman that cant crack the top 100 overall d men in the leauge and guys who played 82 games as rookies who apparently dont belong in the NHL lol You're more than welcome to try making them. I can tell you right now, I was not and have never built my team based on a rating system. That's just fucking stupid. You build your team based on how players perform in the NHL. Just like how a sim league works. Oh wait... |

Correct nothing has really changed other than separation of elite tier and top tier players along with separation of middle 6/ pairing players from the bottom pairing and lower tier forwards.
You now have roles defined much more clearly. Example Zajac being rated decent but his only real impact in his ratings is his faceoffs, defense and strength (which category is still being revamped before completion) whereas you have Hischier with same overall rating but provides more offense with knocks against his defense, faceoffs and physical play.
It’s why i stress to look deeper into categorical ratings to maximize what you want from a player.
If your player got scaled down so did all other 30 Gms
