back in the old days, ratings were done over a two year nhl period, but that hasn't been the case for a number of years.
I would love a 2 year ratings package weighted of course to the current in like a 63/35 fashion.
I would also be in favor of injured guys just rated for the previous season and then penalized 20% or something for being out the year

How many beers deep are you Scott? Last time I checked a 63/35 leaves 2% on the table haha.

There were actually 140 players that didn’t play a game this year that played at least 1 last year that I rated down to a 54. Note that a bunch of these guys were AHL call-ups which will get a better rating once I complete the AHL player ratings, but that shouldn’t be for another few weeks.

no arguments there.. But to be fair in the NHL you don't lose cap space for players who can't physically play for your team.

Definitely not opposed to LTIR if a player plays 0 games in a season. Why should a sim team be punished if someone (in this case, Kucherov) doesn't play at all in the regular season, yet that GM is forced to pay said player for being hurt?
